Challenge139 — Day 25
FILAS Women Online — Devotional for a deeper, more intimate walk with the God who knows you completely.
Today’s Scripture — Psalm 139:17–18
“How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.” — Psalm 139:17–18, KJV
Devotional Reflection — His Thoughts Toward Me
Sis., imagine trying to count every grain of sand along the shore. Impossible, right? Yet David uses that picture to describe the greatness of God’s thoughts.
The God who knows you completely thinks about you. You are not forgotten, overlooked, or insignificant to Him. His attention isn’t occasional, and His presence isn’t temporary. David says, “When I awake, I am still with thee.”
What a beautiful reassurance: when you open your eyes each morning, God is still there.
But knowing that God thinks about us should also cause us to examine what is happening within us. Are our thoughts, attitudes, motives, and desires drawing us closer to Him? Are we allowing Him access to every part of our hearts?
Today, don’t only celebrate that God knows you. Invite Him to keep knowing you—and changing you.
Journal Prompt
What Is Happening in My Heart?
Take a few quiet moments and write honestly about where your heart is today.
What have you been thinking about most? Is there worry, resentment, disappointment, fear, unforgiveness, comparison, or something else taking up too much space?
Then ask:
“Lord, what is in my heart that You want to change?”
Write whatever God brings to your attention without judging yourself. This is a place for honesty, surrender, and growth.
Today’s Challenge
Challenge139 — Day 25: Examine My Heart
Today, intentionally slow down and spend some quiet time with God.
Read Psalm 139:17–18 KJV slowly. Read it more than once and allow the words to settle into your heart.
Then pray:
“God, examine my heart. Show me what You see in me today. Reveal anything that needs healing, changing, releasing, or surrendering. Help my thoughts and my heart become more like Yours.”
Don’t rush away after praying.
Sit quietly.
Listen.
And if God brings something to your attention, write it down and ask Him to help you address it.
Today’s Prayer
Father, how precious are Your thoughts toward me. Thank You that I am never forgotten and that when I awake, You are still with me. Today, I invite You into every part of my heart. Examine my thoughts, motives, attitudes, fears, and desires. Show me what needs to change and give me the courage to surrender it to You. Continue shaping my heart so that my life reflects more of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Sis, Remember This…
You are on God’s mind more than you could ever comprehend.
He knows your heart—and He loves you enough to keep working on it.
So don’t be afraid to invite Him in.
Sis, let God examine your heart today. What He reveals, He is able to heal.
