FILAS Women Online — Devotional for a deeper, more intimate walk with the God who knows you completely.
Today’s Scripture — Psalm 139:13–14 KJV
“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”
Devotional Reflection — Stop Comparing the Creation
Sis, yesterday we talked about seeing ourselves through God’s eyes. Today I want to address one of the quickest ways we lose sight of that truth: comparison.
We compare bodies, marriages, careers, ministries, homes, children, accomplishments, followers, finances, personalities, gifts, and timelines.
But comparison asks a dangerous question:
“Why didn’t God make my life look like hers?”
Psalm 139 redirects us toward the Creator. You weren’t mass-produced. God was intentional about you.
Someone else’s beauty doesn’t diminish yours. Someone else’s gift doesn’t cancel yours. Someone else’s season doesn’t mean you’re behind.
You can admire another woman without using her life as evidence that something is wrong with yours.
Sis, celebrate her.
Then thank God for you.
Journal Prompt — Where Am I Comparing?
Write one area where comparison has been stealing your joy.
Then write three things God has uniquely placed in your life that you are grateful for.
Today’s Challenge — Celebrate Without Comparing
Encourage or compliment another woman today without comparing yourself to her.
Then give yourself one genuine compliment too.
Today’s Prayer
Father, forgive me for comparing Your creation. Help me celebrate what You’ve placed in others without questioning what You’ve placed in me. Teach me to appreciate my own design, gifts, journey, and season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Sis, Remember This…
Her beauty doesn’t take away from yours. Her blessing doesn’t mean God forgot you.
Sis, stop comparing God’s creations and thank Him for yours.
