Devotional Reflection

75 Days Later… I’m Not Who I Was.

Sis, can you believe it? Seventy-five days! Seventy-five days of opening God’s Word, examining our hearts, challenging our thoughts, and intentionally seeking a deeper relationship with the God who knows us completely. When we began this Challenge139 journey, we weren’t simply starting another devotional series. We were accepting an invitation to become more honest with ourselves and more intimate with God. We were inviting Him into the places we sometimes keep hidden, asking Him to reveal what needs attention, and trusting Him to lead us in the way everlasting. And today, as we pause to celebrate this milestone, I want us to ask ourselves something meaningful: What has changed in me since this journey began?

Maybe the change isn’t something everybody else can see. Maybe you haven’t experienced some dramatic transformation that you can point to and explain in a few sentences. Maybe your circumstances haven’t changed, the prayers you’ve been praying haven’t all been answered, and the responsibilities you carry are still waiting for you each morning. But perhaps something has shifted within you. Maybe you’re learning to pause before reacting. Maybe you’re becoming more intentional about prayer. Maybe you’re recognizing the presence of God in situations where you once felt alone. Maybe you’re beginning to see yourself through His Word instead of through your insecurities. And maybe, just maybe, you’re discovering that spiritual growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s a quiet change in how you think, respond, trust, and live.

Throughout these 75 days, Psalm 139 has reminded us that we serve a God who knows us completely. He knows our thoughts before we speak them. He knows our movements, our motives, our fears, and our struggles. He knew us before we were formed, and His presence surrounds us wherever we go. We’ve been reminded that we don’t have to hide from Him, perform for Him, or pretend to be someone we’re not. We can come honestly before Him because He already knows the truth about us. And the more we understand that, the more we realize that being known by God isn’t something to fear. It’s an invitation to trust Him with every part of who we are.

But Sis, this journey hasn’t only been about what God knows about us. It’s also been about what we’re willing to allow Him to show us about ourselves. We’ve prayed, “Search me, O God.” We’ve asked Him to examine our hearts and reveal the attitudes, habits, fears, and motives that may need correction. We’ve been challenged not simply to recognize what He reveals but to respond with obedience. And we’ve been reminded that even when we recognize areas where we’re still struggling, we don’t have to become discouraged. The same God who began the work is faithful to continue it.

Philippians 3:13–14 gives us such a meaningful perspective for this milestone. Paul says, “I count not myself to have apprehended.” In other words, he acknowledges that he hasn’t arrived. There is still more ahead. There is still growth to experience, purpose to pursue, and a calling to follow. But instead of allowing what lies behind him to determine his future, he chooses to press forward. And I believe that’s an important reminder for us today. We can celebrate how far we’ve come without pretending that we’ve reached the finish line.

Sometimes we become so focused on the destination that we forget to appreciate the journey. We want to know when we’ll finally overcome that struggle, when we’ll stop wrestling with that fear, when we’ll become more disciplined, more patient, more confident, or more spiritually mature. But what if God wants us to recognize the growth that’s already happening along the way? What if the fact that you now recognize something you once ignored is evidence of growth? What if your willingness to apologize, forgive, establish a healthy boundary, or respond differently is evidence that God’s Word is taking root in your life?

Sis, don’t overlook the small victories. Don’t dismiss the quiet changes. Don’t underestimate the significance of choosing to seek God again today, especially when yesterday was difficult. Every moment of surrender matters. Every step of obedience matters. Every time you choose God’s truth over the lies you’ve believed about yourself, something meaningful is happening.

And let me say something else. If you’ve missed a few days along the way, don’t allow that to steal the significance of this milestone. This journey was never about perfect attendance. It was about intentional spiritual growth. Maybe you’ve read every devotional. Maybe you’ve missed a few and returned. Maybe some days you read the Scripture and barely had the strength to pray. Maybe other days you spent extra time journaling, reflecting, and allowing God’s Word to speak to your heart. Wherever you are in the journey, what matters is that you keep turning toward Him.

Today, I want us to look back with gratitude, look within with honesty, and look ahead with faith. Thank God for what He’s already revealed. Thank Him for the strength He’s given you, the lessons He’s taught you, and the ways He’s helped you grow. But don’t stop here. Don’t allow this milestone to become a stopping point when God is still calling us into deeper fellowship with Him.

And perhaps the most beautiful part of reaching Day 75 is realizing that the God we began seeking on Day 1 is the same God who has been with us every step of the way. He hasn’t changed. His love hasn’t diminished. His knowledge of us hasn’t become less personal. His presence hasn’t become less faithful. But hopefully, through these days of reflection, our understanding of Him has grown, our trust in Him has deepened, and our willingness to surrender has become more intentional.

So today, Sis, I want you to celebrate. Not because you’ve become perfect. Not because every issue has been resolved. Not because you have all the answers. But because you are still here, still seeking, still learning, and still allowing God to work within you.

Seventy-five days later, I may not be everything God is developing me to become, but I can thank Him that I don’t have to remain who I used to be.

And Sis, the journey isn’t over.

We’re still growing. We’re still becoming. And we’re still pressing toward the mark.

Journal Prompt

A 75-Day Heart Check

Today, let’s take a little more time to reflect.

1. Looking Back: What did I hope God would do in me when I began Challenge139?

2. Looking Within: What has God revealed about my heart, my thoughts, my attitudes, or my relationship with Him?

3. Recognizing Growth: What is one way I can honestly say I am responding differently than I did 75 days ago?

4. Looking Ahead: What area of my life do I want to continue surrendering to God as this journey moves forward?

Complete this statement:

“Seventy-five days later, I thank God that I am no longer __________, and I am trusting Him to continue developing __________ within me.”

Today’s Challenge

75 Days. Three Words. One Testimony.

Today, we’re going to celebrate this milestone by reflecting on our personal journey.

Choose three words that describe what God has been teaching you during Challenge139.

Maybe your words are:

Trust. Surrender. Growth.

Or perhaps:

Healing. Patience. Obedience.

Whatever words describe your journey, write them down.

Then take a moment and complete this sentence:

“Challenge139 is teaching me that…”

I want to encourage you to share your three words or your sentence with another woman. You never know how your testimony might encourage someone else who is walking through a similar season.

And here’s one more thing: Take a moment today to thank God for one specific way He has helped you grow.

Not for something He’s given you.

Not for something He’s done around you.

But for something He’s been doing within you.

Because that is what this journey is all about.

Today’s Prayer

Lord, today I come before You with a grateful heart. Thank You for seventy-five days of seeking You, learning from Your Word, examining my heart, and growing in my relationship with You. Thank You for every truth You’ve revealed, every moment You’ve strengthened me, and every opportunity You’ve given me to recognize Your presence in my life. Forgive me for the times I’ve resisted Your correction, overlooked my progress, or allowed discouragement to distract me from the work You’re doing within me. Lord, continue to search my heart and know my thoughts. Reveal what needs to change, strengthen what needs to grow, and heal what still needs Your attention. Help me not to become satisfied with simply reading Your Word but to become more intentional about living according to it. Thank You for the woman I was when this journey began, the woman I am today, and the woman You are still helping me become. As I continue this journey, deepen my faith, strengthen my obedience, and draw me into a more intimate relationship with You. May my life reflect Your goodness, Your grace, and Your transforming power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sis, Remember This…

Don’t measure your spiritual growth only by how far you still have to go. Take a moment to thank God for how far He’s already brought you.

Sis, 75 days later, you’re still here, still seeking, still growing, and still becoming. The journey isn’t over, and God isn’t finished with you yet. 💗
