Challenge 139 – Day 18

Challenge139 — Day 18

FILAS Women Online — Devotional for a deeper, more intimate walk with the God who knows you completely.

Today’s Scripture — Psalm 139:13

“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.”Psalm 139:13, KJVS

Devotional Reflection — Created With Intention

Sister, before anyone knew your name, God knew you. Before anyone held you in their arms, God was already at work. Psalm 139:13 takes us back to the very beginning and reminds us that our existence was never outside of God’s attention.

David says, “Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.” There was a time when no one could see you, but God could. Hidden from the world, you were never hidden from your Creator.

Think about how beautifully this connects everything we have been learning through Psalm 139. The God who knows your thoughts, knows your words, sees you in darkness, and follows you wherever you go is also the God who formed you.

God knows you because He knows His creation.

Your personality, gifts, compassion, creativity, strength, sensitivity, and even some of those little things that make you uniquely YOU did not surprise God.

You don’t have to become someone else to be valuable. You don’t have to compete with another woman’s gifts, appearance, personality, calling, or journey.

God wasn’t trying to make another her when He made you.

He intentionally made you.

There are certainly areas where all of us need to grow, heal, mature, and change. But growth should never begin with believing that God’s creation has no value.

Today, instead of focusing on everything you wish were different about yourself, pause and appreciate the God who has been involved in your story from the very beginning.

You are here.

You have purpose.

And your Creator is still working in you.

Journal Prompt

Journal Entry: What are three things about yourself that you believe God intentionally placed within you? Think beyond physical appearance. Consider your personality, gifts, compassion, strength, creativity, experiences, and the ways you naturally care for others.

Then write:

“God, thank You for intentionally creating me. Help me become the woman You created me to be.”

Today’s Challenge

Challenge139 — Day 18: Thank God for YOU

Today, intentionally thank God for the woman He created.

Stand in front of a mirror and resist the temptation to immediately identify something you want to change. Instead, look at yourself and say:

“God created me with intention.”

Thank Him for your life, your uniqueness, your gifts, and even the parts of yourself that are still growing.

Today isn’t about perfection.

It’s about appreciating the Creator’s work.

Today’s Prayer

Father, thank You for knowing me before anyone else knew me. Thank You for being present from the very beginning of my life. Help me stop comparing Your work in me with Your work in someone else. Show me the gifts, qualities, and purpose You have placed within me. Continue shaping me into the woman You created me to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sis, Remember This…

Before anyone had an opinion about you, God had intention for you.

You weren’t created to become another woman.

You were created to become everything God placed inside of YOU.
