Challenge139 – Day 43

Challenge139 — Day 43

FILAS Women Online — Devotional for a deeper, more intimate walk with the God who knows you completely.

Today’s Scripture — Psalm 139:1–2 KJV

“O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.”

Devotional Reflection — Take Off the Mask, Sis

Sis, after forty-two days of this journey, one truth should be settling into our hearts: God knows us. Not the version we present to everybody else. Not the polished version. Not just the Sunday morning version. God knows the woman underneath all of that.

And if God already knows us completely, why do we sometimes feel as though we have to hide from Him? We come to prayer saying what we think we’re supposed to say instead of what we’re actually feeling. We tell God, “I’m okay,” when we’re hurt. We say we’ve moved on when we’re still angry. We tell ourselves we’re strong when we’re exhausted.

Psalm 139 gives us permission to take off the mask. God already knows what’s underneath it.

There is freedom in realizing that you don’t have to perform for God. You can come tired. You can come confused. You can come disappointed. You can come with questions. You can even come angry. An honest conversation with God is more intimate than a polished prayer that doesn’t reflect what’s really happening in your heart.

Today, Sis, just be real with Him.

Journal Prompt — What Am I Hiding?

Write about one thing you have been reluctant to admit—to yourself or to God.

Then write:

“God, You already know this about me, so today I want to talk to You about it.”

Today’s Challenge — Honest Prayer

Spend 10 minutes talking honestly with God today.

No church language. No trying to say the “right” thing.

Tell Him exactly where you are.

Today’s Prayer

Father, You have searched me and You know me. Help me stop hiding behind the version of myself I think I have to present. Teach me to be honest with You about my feelings, struggles, fears, questions, and desires. Thank You that nothing I reveal will surprise You. I want a relationship with You that is real, intimate, and honest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sis, Remember This…

God doesn’t need the polished version of you. He already knows the real you.

Sis, take off the mask. You are safe being honest with the God who already knows.
