Challenge139 — Day 44
FILAS Women Online — Devotional for a deeper, more intimate walk with the God who knows you completely.
Today’s Scripture — Psalm 139:3 KJV
“Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.”
Devotional Reflection — God Is in the Ordinary Too
Sis, sometimes we look for God only in the extraordinary. We look for Him in answered prayers, breakthroughs, miracles, worship experiences, and moments that give us goosebumps. But Psalm 139:3 reminds us that God is acquainted with all our ways.
That means He is present in the ordinary too.
God is with you while you’re getting ready for work. He’s there while you’re driving, folding clothes, answering emails, making dinner, sitting in traffic, caring for your family, or lying down exhausted at the end of the day. Your ordinary life is not separate from your spiritual life.
What would happen if we stopped waiting for “devotional time” to acknowledge God? What if our entire day became an ongoing conversation with Him?
Maybe spiritual intimacy isn’t always about finding more time. Sometimes it’s about recognizing God in the time we already have.
Journal Prompt — Where Is God in My Ordinary?
Write down three ordinary parts of your daily routine where you rarely think about God.
How could you intentionally invite Him into those moments?
Today’s Challenge — Invite Him In
Choose three ordinary activities today and intentionally acknowledge God’s presence while doing them.
Simply say:
“God, I know You’re here too.”
Today’s Prayer
Father, forgive me for thinking I only meet You in special moments. Help me recognize Your presence throughout my ordinary day. Walk with me through my responsibilities, conversations, work, rest, and routines. Teach me to make everyday life sacred by living it aware of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Sis, Remember This…
God isn’t waiting for you at your next devotional time.
He’s with you right now.
