Inspired by Psalm 139

A daily invitation to draw closer to God

Challenge139 is a 139-day spiritual journey inspired by Psalm 139, designed to help women draw closer to God through daily moments of prayer, Scripture, reflection, and intentional living. Each day offers a simple challenge that encourages spiritual growth, self-discovery, and a deeper understanding of God’s unfailing love.

The Four Daily Pillars

Four simple rhythms, woven into each day

01

Prayer

Begin each day in honest conversation with God — bringing your heart, your hopes, and your needs before the One who already knows them.

02

Scripture

Meet God in His Word each day, letting Scripture shape how you see yourself, your circumstances, and His unfailing love for you.

03

Reflection

Pause to listen and process — journaling what God is stirring, discovering more of who He made you to be along the way.

04

Intentional Living

Carry the day’s truth into how you live — small, intentional choices that let faith take shape in your everyday moments.

Psalm 139:14

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Day 4 — Fully Known in Every Season

Scripture: Psalm 139:2 (KJV) — “Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.”

Today’s Thought: God knows you at your lowest and at your highest. He is not surprised by your struggles, your doubts, or your triumphs. Before you rise in the morning and before you lay your head down at night, He already knows. You don’t have to pretend with God — He sees it all and loves you still.

Read: Psalm 139:2

Reflection Question: What does God already know about me?

Challenge: Today, come to God exactly as you are. Don’t clean yourself up first. Don’t wait until you feel worthy. In your lowest moment or your highest, bring it to Him openly and honestly. Let today be a day of radical transparency with God.

Journal Entry: Write about a time when you were at your lowest. Did you feel God’s presence then? Now write about a time when you were at your highest. Did you acknowledge Him in that moment? What does it mean to you knowing that God was present in both?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for knowing me completely — my sitting down and my rising up, my highs and my lows. You are never caught off guard by where I am. Help me to come to You honestly, without pretense or performance. In my lowest moments, remind me that You are still there. In my highest moments, help me to remember that every good thing comes from You. I surrender all of it to You today — the struggles and the victories, the doubts and the faith. You know me, and still You love me. That is enough. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
